This case is not simply a "refund issue." Fearing a loss of credibility and the need for compensation if the fact that the product was not NFC-compatible were to become public, Lazada and its affiliates engaged in a series of maneuvers, including vague apologies, unilateral remittances, the deletion of evidence, and police intimidation.
Lazada and its affiliates continued to conceal the facts for over two years until they finally officially admitted in a report on November 20, 2023 that "NFC is not supported." Their actions were extremely malicious and caused the plaintiffs considerable mental distress and hardship. Therefore, the plaintiffs will vigorously pursue responsibility for these cover-ups.
